Today concludes the end of the first week of Art A-Term: 2017. On Monday, the group got an introduction to art cars by Bonnie Blue, who is a Houston based caricature artist who has participated in the Art Car parade. On Tuesday we got a hands-on experience of working with art cars by helping Tod Bowers with his "Lucha Mobile" while we waited for our car to arrive so we could start working on it. On Wednesday we also helped Rebecca Bass with her art car, and had fun working together.
On Thursday we finally got our car! It is a green Acura that came all the way from Austin. We spent the day priming it and getting it ready for the next week of art! We ended off the week by running errands at Home Depot, and getting pumped for the week to come.
