"truly excited to see how it looks in the next few days as it comes together"

Today was a very productive day. We’ve gotten a lot of work done on the actual octopus. We primed the tentacles with Gesso and hit the octopus with some more coats of glitter. We let the primed tentacles dry and then painted them gold and glittered them the same way we did with the head. It’s been so interesting seeing all of our work come together and I’m truly excited to see how it looks in the next few days as it comes together. I also had the chance to think about how our art car is going to affect people around us. I’ve heard from many people at school that it’s going to look awesome and that they’re excited to see how it goes. We also went to CVS to grab some safety pins and drinks for the crew and had a really great first-person look at how people who see our car react. --Caleb
