Thursday, January 5: Today our morning started with a realization that the carving foam we had ordered never shipped. Victory in our eyes, Gala, Lily, and Ms. Sloan set off to a floral shop to pick up some foam. During this time, Cape, Evan, Amile, and Jules stayed back to spray paint the car a baby pink. While at the garden shop, we found cake-shaped foam and foam blocks for quite a bargain!! After the trio returned, we gathered together to discuss our plan for the car. Once we set a goal, we painted the cake-shaped foam with white gesso to prime. After the gesso dried, we used colored paints to bring life to the baked goods. We plan to finish the cakes we started tomorrow. --Lily S., class of 2024
