Today, we started the day off by carving the foods we would display on the car. We carved enough to where we could start painting gesso on the foam carvings. Cape made some STELLAR fish.
Since our car is Spirited Away themed, we should all have a complete understanding of the movie and its details. We turned on the movie Spirited Away to work to, some students in the class hadn't seen the film, and they seemed to enjoy it. Once we finished the movie, we turned on another studio Ghibli movie to finish working to.
We got a group together to run errands and made a list of items we needed from the stores. The errand group went to Texas Art Supply and Arnies to pick up these items. When the errand group got back, we carved more foam as a full group.
When I finished painting the gesso on the foam pieces, I went back outside to touch up the car's body paint. The car only needed some touch-ups on the hood, the window framing, and around the tires. We finished off the day by cleaning up the mess we made, we swept washed brushes, and wiped the tables.
