Art Car 2023: Day 4

Monday, January 9: Art Car day 4: We started our day off with decorating the small cakes. We painted them with different shades of pink and red. After painting the cakes we painted all of the cake stands gold. While those were drying we used a silicone caulk to imitate frosting. We put it on a few of the cakes then we left for lunch. After lunch we finished decorating the cakes with the fake frosting and we started doing the second coats for the cake stands and painting the bottom of the cake stands. After that we started working on the big cake that will be going on the top center of the car. We marked the foam and used a heated knife to cut them to the sizes we needed and to round out the edges to make them more circular. --Amelie P., class of 2026
