We were able to make further progress with making the art car today. First of all, the day started with Ms. Sloan and a couple of students traveling back to Joanns to pick up more fur for the car, as it became clear that we may not have enough to cover the whole car after seeing the little we attached the previous day.
While that extra fur was being bought, I started making the second horn for the car out of the floral foam, while also reshaping the first horn. When all of us were back in the classroom, everyone else started painting a second coat of white paint on the foam pieces in preparation for color.
The rest of the day mostly consisted of us waiting for the paint to dry on the foam pieces and watching movies in the background as we worked. After this, the rest of the afternoon consisted of me gluing more fur on the car. Specifically, I had managed to put fur around the windows on the left side of the car, and will continue to apply more fur tomorrow (Friday).--Tory, class of 2026
