Art Car 2026: Day 4

Today in the art car, we painted, carved, bought paint, and glued grass to the car.

In the morning, we all got to have donuts and talk for a bit, which was very fun! For the first half of the day, half of us painted and the other half worked on gluing the grass to the car. I was helping Weston and Mia paint the carved animals. I also carved some more ants and a little slug, but I mostly painted for the day. We also carved another mouse and a new type of animal. Then, before lunch I worked on gluing some grass to the car.

After lunch, I went back to painting, trying to get all the animals painted. However, in the afternoon, Melody, Avi, and I all went to Home Depot to get paint and some tools to help us! The colors of paint we got were red, yellow, brown, tan, green, black, and blue. After getting back from our trip to Home Depot, we took a little rest to get our energy back from our eventful day! Then the whole team started to clean up all the foam scraps from carving in the room.

This activity is very hands-on and active! Personally, I really like it because I feel like I get to put my ideas into action and see it all come to life. That is what an art car is all about!
