Welcome to week 2!
Over the weekend, it was two of our group members birthdays, it was Sam's and mine (well technically my birthday is today). Anyway I brought donuts this morning to celebrate!
Onto art car stuff now, we started our day by priming all our sculptures. This took about 2 hours and no one went outside to work on the car itself, because it was so cold. While some of us primed, the others started painting some of our finished-being-primed sculptures.
After that we went to H-E-B to get snacks and some more toothpicks for our sculptures. We had lunch when we got back. After lunch, we spent time either working on the car, painting or priming.
Around 2pm I made hot cocoa for a lot of people in our group. We added marshmallows and peppermint. It was really tasty.
Then we spent another hour working in places that we each had decided worked best for us and in which we got the most amount of work done. Then we spent the final 30 minutes cleaning up the small messes we made, and that concluded our our day on January 12, 2026, during art car J-term.
