Today we worked entirely on painting the sculptures. We decided it was best to focus on getting all our pieces painted, so they would have time to dry. While the car was outside in the cold, we all worked inside, listening to music and having a good time.
We worked on many different pieces, but especially the log and the larger raccoon. We also decided to use some of our green paint to make a bunch of “bushes” with our scraps of foam. We then made some new colors, such as gray, and made some rocks and a turtle. After lunch, we kept working and painting. I decided to carve two more logs out of the white foam, and Mia worked on priming them when I was done.
Later in the afternoon, Melody, Avi, and Ridley went to glue some more turf on the car. They did this till the end of the day.
We have got a lot done today and painted many different things. Tomorrow, we plan to get some more green paint and then begin to cover the car with it, as well as put some of the larger sculptures on it.
